He has achieve many awards like Shiseido Beauty Innovator award 2019, Wella Professional Silver Trend Vision Award last 2008, Singapore Hairdressing Schwarzkopf Award last 2006, and certificates like hoyu Professional Colour Master Certificate, and Revlon Certificate Master of Colour. These are only few of the many awards and certificates.

Gene has worked at many prestigious salons in the past. One of the salons is Monsoon.
